Setting the alarm clock

Taylor has been setting her alarm clock at 5am ever since Lanning was born. That’s when she gets up and lifts. It seems she has always had this early morning gear for movement. And then there is me, also a morning person, but not necessarily an active morning person. However, when the alarm clock goes off at 5am, I also find myself wandering down to our basement gym. I keep hoping it will get easier, but it doesn’t really. And I’ve tried to tell myself that I can sleep in and exercise later, but with kids, a job, and everything else in life, the workout never seems to happen with any consistency.

I guess we can now rely less on motivation and more on habit. So we go to bed early, wake up early, and get it done.
