Movement is a learning opportunity.

The other day, I was wrestling around with my kids. Just having fun, when I noticed some pinching when I rotated my right hip outwards. Nothing to stop me from this fun, but I made a mental note to look into it later.

Later that same day, I was moving my hip around to figure out what was going on. I learned that my right hip is a lot weaker when compared to my left hip. So now I am trying to focus on some activities to address that weakness (although, I’ll admit, I am not great at doing my own PT exercises!).

And to my point with this: You can learn new things about your body when you move and are curious. And these things you learn are like writing pages to your own personal body manual. These uniquely learned things will help you keep moving (and wrestling!) through your life. See if you can learn something about yourself that you didn’t know last week. It might take a wrestling match to find out!
